Coachholidays.com are pleased to announce a new operator, Glenton Tours.
Glenton is a new name in Scotland, but they are certainly not new to arranging quality holidays. Between them, Steve and Harriet have many years experience of catering to the needs of Scottish holidaymakers.
As part of The UK Holiday Group, which has been in business for over 20 years, they have formidable buying power and no shareholders or investors to satisfy. No wonder they deliver such great quality and value!
Highlights include tours for the solo traveller, exciting ocean cruises and self drive deals. Their handpicked accommodation ranges from five star country retreats to lively holiday centres and a range of small, friendly family run hotels.

UPDATE: All Glenton holidays are now on our site, search Glenton Holidays here.

Interested in Glenton’s coach trips to Ireland at New Year. We were given your name by people we know who travelled toLetterkenny last year and had a brilliant time. Would be grateful for any brochures etc. I have received the summer brochure.

In the years up to the early 1980@’s there was a London based company of world renown who provided high quality “Coach Cruises” and were famed for specifying coaches fitted with the inside chairs places three inches further forward from the window seats and would fit 34 seats into a 49 seat coach body. That company was Glenton Tours of Peckham Rye.
I hope that you have every secess with your incarnation of the Glenton Tours brand.
I have been looking for a coach tour company who depart from Girvan, South Ayrshire going to Ireland and North Scotland . I would appreciate if you could send me a brouchure as I cannot fine a link to request one
thanks
I have written a letter of complaint about the hotel on my last holiday to Customer Services in Glasgow on 1st May 2007 and although I have received a letter of acknowledgement dated 11th May from Audrey Reid I have heard nothing more. I have telephoned the Glasgow Office four times this month only to be fobbed off with the promise of call back each time. Needless to say:no return call. I find that this is very poor customer care.
My friend and I went on the cruise and stay weekend to Folkstone.Had a really good time both Glenton and hotel staff could not have been more helpful.Good value for money and I would go on another holiday with this company,
Have you any seats available for the French Chateau trip, leaving Thursday, 12th July, 2007.
We require 2 seats. Thank you.
I have been on many of your tours including your
solo tours but could do with nearer bus pickups
especially before 8am, I live in Gourock.
First Holiday with Glenton
Eastbourne..Ambassador Hotel 15-21/07/07
Journey–Glasgow-Eastbourne 08am-11.45pm =
=16hrs
Hotel..Third rate.. that is a compliment.
No obvious “up front managment”
Food..mostly inedible
Staff..amateurish but aimed to please
Trips.. very good.
Driver.Vastly improved after the horrendous start
due to the mechanical failure of a “two day
old” bus.
This hotel will not enhance your reputation.
Needless to say we were very dissapointed
in our first trip with your company.

I have just come back from a holiday in Letterkenny. It was great and I would recommend the company to anyone
Hi,Very interested in your Southport Pre-Christmas Getaway. Please would you tell me where would we be picked up as we live in Morecambe,Lancashire.Do you pass through Lancaster or Preston?
Went to the Metropole Hotel Blackpool for 5 days with Glenton, Total waste of money, I sent letter of complaint and photos of the filthy room we had by recorded delivery. Louise denied having got the letter but when I said I still had the reciepts of postage they mysteriously turned up after 10 minutes. I then received a letter with a £10 voucher to use on our next holiday with them I have returned it as I regarded it as an insult. no more holidays with them.
had a nice holiday in the summer at blackool, warwick hotel. Going back there for New Year. went to Lake Garda in September, Hotel pretty basic but clean and affordable. Overall the trip was good value for money and will be looking to see what Glenton has on offer for 2008. The driver who came out of retirement to drive to Italy was a gem and I hope the regular one is as good.
I have just read the crit on the Metropole Blackpool and now wondering if I should cancel my booking in February unless you can assure me that the Hotel is not dirty as this person states. I was at Letterkenny with you last year and it was excellent.
Please put my mind at rest.
Thank You C Dowson
I have been on many coach holidays with Glenton and they are a fresh of air compared to the others.
The telephone number is 08000 24 24 24 to request a brochure
I have travelled with Caledonian Travel, David Urquhart and Glenton. After my first holiday with Glenton I will never book with any other operator. FREE INSURANCE, NO SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT and great value holidays. I have found the staff to be very good and would recommend all to try a Glenton tour in 2008. The doggy bag you get from the driver on the 1st morning is lovely and welcomed by all fellow travellers.
The Coach holidays from scotland have been the same offered year after year, thank god Glenton is here with great holidays by air, coach, and cruises.
My next holiday with Glenton is a Cruise, my 2nd, picked up from the front door and taken to the ship, again cost all included!! The Glenton Way.
Why have you not up-dated this website since April last year?
Hi Angus
We do update this site regulary, this is just a coach news site. To book Glenton holidays, please visit our main site, http://www.coachholidays.com/glenton.phtml

very good time spent with them
Just returned from “Liverpool City of Culture” Aug.18-22 Not happy in several instances, mainly with the Hotels lack of organisation at meal times, otherwise ok, but real bugbear was lack of information from GLENTON when coach broke down and replacement company had a distinct couldn’t care less attitude. Our coach was garaged but surely driver should have been available to keep us informed. Friends and I have had several happy Glenton tours, disappointed in this one.

travelled for first time with glenton, went to black forest, treff hotel in bad herrenalb was fantastic, which was just as well as information from our driver was poor.On one of our free days we took the train to another town paid 15 euros only to find out from another holiday maker that the ticket given to us with our room key was a free pass for all transport, apart from that the holiday was great .
