URGENT NEWS – Fuel Surcharges on all Shearings UK Holidays

[inspic=11,left,,0] We regret to announce that due to the continuing increases in the price of Diesel, Shearings Holidays have found it necessary to introduce a £1.00 a day fuel surcharge on all its UK breaks as from 09:00 hrs today, Friday 9th of May 2008. We will be posting a warning on every Shearings UK holiday but due to the size of the task this will take some time.
We will keep you updated with any other Surcharges from other operators as they happen.

Is a surchage placed on holidays already booked or just holidays being purchased from 9th of May. Is this liable to spread to overseas coach holiday
The issue of European surcharges is that so far only a handful of coach companies have introduced surcharges.
These are Crusader Holidays, Grand UK, Shearings Holidays and most recently Skills Holidays. All the others have gone down the route of new edition brochures with higher prices. The only operator who has surcharged customers who have already booked is Crusader on their European tours but to be fair their surcharge of £3.00 per day would probably not even cover the huge increase in diesel costs on their beautiful German Setra’s, let alone the terrible exchange rate between the Pound and the Euro.
One thing is for sure, prices for 2009 will be far higher than they are right now and my advice is to book a bargain while you still can!
This is really ridiculous but I totally understand the Shearings Holiday. I think it’s too late already to book now with the spiking fuel price.
THE OTHER CHARGE BROUGHT IN IS THE £10 FOR BOOKING THE FRONT SEATS. THIS WAS SHOWN ON THE THE INVOICE AND ONLINE BOOKINGS. THEY ARE TRYING ALWAYS TO GET EXTRA MONEY FROM YOU.
