Insight Vacations has trebled the size of its Elegance programme for 2009, adding six itineraries to its Europe, Britain and eastern Mediterranean brochure.
Described as “premium plus” by the operator, Elegance intineraries now include Personal Insights – a selection of more unusual “must see and do” experiences.
These include seeing a traditional mint tea preparation ceremony in a Moroccan family home, private local wine tutorials in Italy, and tips on how to haggle in Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar.
The Elegance range includes a nine-day trip to Morocco, which starts at £1365. The itinerary includes two nights in a luxury riad and a four-wheel-drive expedition into the Sahara.
An 11-day tour of the Greek islands of Mykonos, Patmos and Santorini includes seven nights on a luxury yacht and two nights in Athens. Prices start at £2,235, excluding flights.
Insight sales director Paul Melinis said: “These tours are about showing our guests the very best and finest points of a region – picking out accommodation and experiences that you wouldn’t expect to be included on a tour. Yet these holidays are still affordable to our customers.
They now include Personal Insights, excursions that most other touring companies charge extra for. We believe that in our current climate, giving our customers extra value for money is crucial.”
The new Insight Vacations 2009 brochure will be on our site soon where you can save 10% off the brochure price!
