Grand UKOver-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays is looking forward to its busiest Easter ever, thanks to bookings being 30% up year-on-year.
The coach tours specialist offers a wide selection of breaks across the UK and, with the surging popularity of domestic holidays, bookings have been brisk.

Sales director Harold Burke said: “Our springtime tours are always popular as customers seek some early sunshine but we have been amazed by the popularity of our Easter programme.
“We do offer great value for money – our Easter tours start at £169 for four days, with half-board accommodation, travel and excursions included.
“Most of our customers are mortgage-free and empty-nester retirees, so they have the time and money for holidays, but even if people are affected by the recession, they can still easily afford one of our breaks.”

Like many other operators, Grand UK Holidays is seeing customers book much closer to departure but despite the downturn, many are still keen to have a holiday.
“Coming after our busiest ever Christmas period, this bumper Easter bodes well for the rest of the year, especially with the exchange rate favouring UK holidays,” added Burke.
“The Coach Tourism Council has tipped coach tours for success in 2009 and we’re certainly seeing that reflected in our business.”

We will be a party of perhaps 12 people, some single some in pairs. We are looking for a coach holiday for about 5 days.
