Happy 10th Birthday London Eye!

London Eye

The London Eye is the only place which will allow you to appreciate the beauty of London which is often missed amongst the hustle and bustle of city life.

A decade has already passed since its opening and on the 9th of March, the Eye celebrated its 10th birthday.

Often referred to as the Millennium Wheel – as it was built to honour the new millennium,  at 135m/443ft, the London Eye  is the world’s highest observational wheel. Rotating at a gentle pace, each flight (one full rotation) takes 30minutes,  giving enough time to take lots of pictures and to enjoy the view spanning up to 40km in all directions (on a clear day, as far as Windsor Castle). Attracting over 3.5 million people a year, the London Eye truly is one of the most iconic sights of London.

There are variety of  flights available on the London Eye…Standard, Night, Fast Track and Champagne. The Night flights are available after 8pm, where you’ll be able to enjoy the panoramic view lit up, Fast Track will allow you to avoid the queues and the Champagne flight will add some fizz to your flight with a glass of Pommery Brut Royal champagne served by your host.

Why not be one of those 3.5 million people this year and take a ride on the London Eye, during it’s 10th year?
