The World famous battle of Waterloo was fought in 1815 between the French army, led by Napoleon Bonaparte, and the Duke of Wellington, leader of the Anglo-Allied forces. This battle is re-enacted with volunteer regiments from all over Europe in full period gear and complete with weapons, acting out the battle leading to the infamous defeat of Napoleon.

This year the site of the battle will stage the largest re-enactment yet.
