Wendy Wu Tours

Our next featured coach operator is Wendy Wu Tours who are the UK’s leading China specialist tour operator as well as a leading specialist tour operator to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and India.

Who is Wendy Wu?
After completing her degree, Wendy Wu decided to go to Australia where she began working for American Express. During this time, she set up a programme to China for American Express and realised that her expertise and business acumen combined with a relatively untapped market were the perfect match for success in this field. She set up her own company in Australia in 1996 and expanded to the UK in 2005. Wendy Wu Tours is going from strength-to-strength and its success is being marked by an expansion to the United States, where the company will be opening offices in New York this autumn.

What can Wendy Wu Tours offer people visiting China?
Wendy Wu Tours is the UK’s leading specialist tour operator to China and has more than ten years experience in the country. China is best experienced in the hands of local people and our team of experts knows every corner of this spectacular country. Not only will you have the opportunity to visit incredible tourist attractions like the Great Wall but you will also discover the hidden gems and lesser known charms of this beautiful country. We take pride in the excellent level of service we provide and are thrilled by the amount of positive feedback we receive from customers. Having grown up in China, Wendy knows just how magical her country is and loves sharing her passion and knowledge with travellers so they can go on to discover the delights of China for themselves.

What would you say to UK travellers to encourage them to visit China?
China is a fascinating land of striking beauty which offers a myriad of possibilities for travellers. It is a country brimming with spectacular scenery, ancient monuments, undiscovered territories and amazing history. The sheer diversity of China’s terrain will take you from buzzing, cosmopolitan cities to isolated Ming-Dynasty villages where you can hear a pin drop. One of the most brilliant aspects about China is that it caters for a multitude of different tastes. History buffs will be intrigued by the ancient relics as they uncover a history spanning 5,000 years; the towering skyscrapers and pulsating nightlife of Shanghai will be a magnet for city slickers and animal lovers will not be able resist the adorable Pandas in Chengdu. For these reasons and many others, China has become one of the top travel destinations of 2010.

I am Canadian, living in Ottawa, and am planning to travel with a Wendy Wu tour to China with
Australian friends. Is there a Canadian or American gateway that I can use for your air inclusive program — or will I need to make seoarate arrangements.
    Many Thanks
