Diamond Holidays of Market Harborough has been inundated with calls since Friday when a similarly named company based in Swansea, South Wales, ceased trading.
The Leicestershire based Diamond Shortbreak Holidays Ltd that trades as Diamond Holidays, The River Cruise line and Diamond Rail Holidays is not connected to the failed company and continues to trade successfully.
Managing Director; Kevin Riley said, ‘We are naturally very sorry that the Swansea based company has ceased trading and our thoughts are with the customers and staff of that company. We would however like to assure all of our customers that we are in no way connected to the similarly named collapsed company. We are still very much here and following a record year in 2010 we have had a fantastic start to the new year with bookings up in the first 10 days of January up 40% year on year.’
Diamond Shortbreak Holidays was established in 1998 in Market Harborough and now has a team of 45 staff taking over 40,000 travellers on holiday each year. The company offers a range of holidays by coach, river cruise ship and rail in the UK and Europe and are fully bonded members of ABTA and hold an ATOL issued by the Civil Aviation.
