As its 2011 Summer Collection brochure rolls of the presses, Glenton Holidays celebrated a record breaking 2010. The Glasgow based coach holidays company revenue increased to almost £9m with the number of passengers carried increasing over 20% to more than 40,000.
It was a year of consolidation for Good Companions, Glentons range of holidays, day trips and treats for solo travellers, while Glenton Holidays by Air, the company’s air holiday wing thrived despite setbacks such as volcanic ash and unprecedented snowfall.
The company’s cruise collection attracted over 2,000 new customers, and it successfully launched Freeway, a range of Self Drive holidays to UK hotels.
Steve Turbill, Commercial Director, said: “From the day we launched in 2006 we have had a policy of constantly refreshing our product offering, continually surprising the market with new ideas and unique benefits, such as including holiday insurance in the holiday price and not charging single room supplements in the UK.”
New for 2011 is the Glenton Select Brand, which uses high specification coaches.
