I find as with most holidays what is thought to be a good deal isnt as a single. I just cannot understand why with an increasingly older population you still do this. Any last minute holiday is again charged when it is clear that there are unsold places. I must confess to rather enjoy these few days holidays but not the supplements. I find that as a single it is cheaper for me to organise a time abroad than pay up. I am aware of what you are going to say its the hotels not us!!!!! The thing to remember is that in these times we are the ones with the money.

Quite agree with P Thompson Single supplements are terrible its still a bed in a room usually a small one, but National Holidays even going strong after 20 years must remember all the other coach firms which have gone and downsized Ledger especially and Harry Shaw and today the customer has the power, you either go or dont, but to be fair to national I have enjoyed many holidays here and abroad with them, but what makes me laugh is there booking system, they send letters out each month to save on the following month, as a consultant, I wont charge you for this advice, At the beginning of your new brochure give 1 month, with a 10% discount for early booking this would enable you to see in your year planner the best routes and which holidays are going to do well or falter and save you postage as well, most people know what they want and when they want it give it a try

I quite agree with all single people with similar complaints, national holidays along with shearings adopt this an-ti single advertise really nice looking deals, and we carefully look at these offers only to find that when we get to the stage of pressing the button to book.we are confronted with not 1 but 2 suppliments.i find this very frustrating and unfair, whats the point of looking in the first place.come on folks lets have a fair deal, all we are doing is trying to book a holiday at the last minute and help fill your coaches and hotel.

This is a petition to ask parliament to make it illegal for hoteliers and tour operators to apply a surcharge to the hotel or holiday booking of anyone travelling on their own.
