Over-55s specialist Grand UK Holidays has boosted its festive range to cater for rising demand.
Its new winter 2011-12 brochure features a new Turkey & Tinsel breaks, more Continental Christmas market trips, extra UK festive markets and reintroduces Christmas holidays in Europe.
Harold Burke, sales director, said the operator’s widest range of festive holidays yet reflects growing demand for such holidays as many people take more than one holiday each year with Grand UK
Burke said many book their festive breaks when the winter brochure is launched in May.
He said: ‘Our festive selection has gone from strength to strength each year so we are greatly expanding the range on offer to cater for the excellent demand.
‘We introduced escorted tours to UK Christmas markets a couple of years ago and they have proved a huge success, and we are also seeing a resurgence of popularity for traditional Continental markets as the over-55s age group seems undeterred from travelling.’
Other additions for the 2011-12 programme include two escorted tours to see the Floriade show in 2012, which is held every 10 years in the Netherlands.
The operator is also tapping into the growing ‘TV tourism’ trend with a new escorted tour entitled Lark Rise to Downton Abbey.
