Rhine In Flames

Its coming up to that time of year again when the banks of the River Rhine welcome around 250,000 visitors whilst the waters welcome around 20,000 on wonderfully decorated bright boats, all ready to witness the incredible Rhine In Flames. The Rhine in Flames dates back to 1756 when fireworks were set off in Koblenz in honour of the electoral prince Johann-Philipp von Walderdorff and it is now the oldest and largest fireworks display in Germany and is now a must see attraction for many people across Europe. Along with the Rhine in Flames it also invites around 75 boats that sail up and down the Rhine passing all the romantic locations with castles and mansions illuminated with bright lights. The Rhine In Flames is taking place between August and September and would be a fantastic last minute getaway.
