David Palmer Travel, owned by David and Margaret who began their coach company back in 1973 when they bought their first 12 seat mini bus. They ran the coach hire business from their corner shop. It didn’t take them long to build a good client base and the work started increasing with contracts between, schools, miners, bingo clubs and the suchlike. In 1975 just two years later they had such high demand that they purchased a second vehicle and Margaret passed her coach driving licence to expand the fleet even further!
The first coach holiday they ran was to Torquay for five days costing just £59 with high demand and a growing business for coach holidays David Palmer Travel needed to decide on their product and develop a wider range. Margaret developed a programme for people willing to pay slightly more for coach holidays for people that wanted more luxury accommodation such as four and five star hotels as there was a gap in the market for such holidays, luckily it proved to be a huge success still to this day.
David and Margaret, who are still involved in the business, handed the management of the company over to their son Andrew who continues to work hard to maintain the high standards both David and Margaret set to make sure that all their customers still have holidays to remember and travel again and again with David Palmer.
David Palmer Travel has a varied selection of holidays available in the UK and Europe, on most of these holidays you will have included and optional excursions within the exciting itineraries for all passengers to enjoy. The coach you will travel on will either be an Executive Coach which offers; double glazed tinted windows, seatbelts, on board toilet, on board CD sound system and air conditioning.
