Save an hour as the clocks go back

Clocks-Go-Back

This Sunday 25th October, we get 1 extra hour in bed which is just brilliant! As autumn draws to a close and winter sets in, it’s time to get excited about end of year events like Halloween, Harvest Time/Thanksgiving, Black Friday Sales, Christmas market tours, and Christmas – Yes Christmas it’s less than 9 weeks away! Also, with crisp, dry weather expected in many parts from this weekend, you’re probably thinking ‘I’m glad I’ve got a little holiday booked for this weekend’.

This is why Coachholidays.com thought we should remind everyone, especially our clients from outside the UK that the clocks fall back at 2am on the morning of Sunday 25th October. What does this have to do with a little holiday I’ve booked for this weekend, we hear you ask? If you’re booked on one of our many holidays beginning on Sunday morning, please remember to wind your clock back by an hour and set your alarm, because we wouldn’t want you to be unnecessarily early for the start of your vacation!

Essentially, in the small hours of Sunday morning, 02:00:00 hours to be exact, marks the end of Daylight Saving Time in the UK. At what would have been 2am on Sunday morning, your clock should say 01:00:00 hours or 1am. If you’ve recently purchased a Smartphone, Smart TV, desk/laptop or tablet computer, you shouldn’t need to adjust the time, provided you haven’t changed or disabled the manufacturer’s settings! Otherwise, adjust the time before you go to bed and save an hour as the clocks go back.
